Synopsis
New York theatre critic, Mortimer Brewster is shocked to discover a dead body in a window seat. It appears that his spinster aunties, Abby and Martha, have been compassionately serving poisoned home-made elderberry wine, to elderly, homeless men, and that his nutty brother Teddy, has dug graves for them all, fourteen in total, in their cellar.
When Jonathan, his older and sadistic brother, unexpectedly arrives, with the mad plastic surgeon, Dr Einstein, Mortimer is convinced he's a member of an insane, homicidal family, and that his engagement to girl-next-door, Elaine, cannot go ahead.
