Deathtrap
Facing long-term writers' block and imminent bankruptcy (despite his wealthy wife Myra's assurance to the contrary), playwright Sidney Bruhl has received in the mail a script, "Deathtrap" which he immediately recognizes as a potential and long-running New York blockbuster.He invites the fledgling author, Clifford Anderson, to their remote Connecticut cottage to discuss the script, and the ever-helpful Myra suggests a collaboration. Sidney jokes to her that if Clifford won't play ball, then he will kill Clifford, bury the body in their vegie patch, and make "Deathtrap" all his own work.Two more characters make up the cast of this classic thriller. There's the renowned Dutch psychic, Helga ten Dorp, with her insistent warnings of visions of death, and Porter Milgrim, the family solicitor, with his own secrets to hide.
