"Love Letters"
A memorable and unique theatrical experience reflecting a romantic friendship, beginning with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards between two dorky third-graders Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardiner, and their subsequent life-long written correspondence to each other, set in an era well before the advent of faxes, texts, emails and all forms of social media.
As they're read aloud, words fly off the pages, taking us on a fifty year journey encompassing love, longing, estrangement and tenderness with shared nostalgia revealing so much from what is written and what is left unsaid.
Directed by Bette Sartore, experienced Cathouse members Frank Sartore and Di Addington will put their own spin on A.R. Gurney's beloved work.
